Configuring Mac OS X Open the Network control panel: Click on the System Preferences item on the Dock, then click on Network in the Internet & Network section. At the top of the Network control panel, choose Location: Automatic and Show: Internal Modem. Click on the TCP/IP tab. Choose Configure: Using PPP. Domain Name Servers and Search Domains are set automatically. Click on the PPP tab. Enter the following information: Click on PPP Options. Make the following changes under Session Options: Check Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications (instructs your computer to dial when you start Internet Explorer). Check Disconnect if idle for ## minutes (enter a number of minutes; your connection will terminate automatically if there is no activity). Check Redial if busy, then enter Redial 5 times (in case all the lines are busy, your computer will redial automatically). Click OK. Click the Apply Now button at the bottom of the Network control panel. Close System Preferences. |
