| ..: Windows 98 And Up Setup :.
Creating a New Dial-Up Account Before you can connect to the Internet you must create a new dial up connection. You can create several different connections by following the same steps listed below, but normally you only need one. The easiest method is to open Internet Explorer. Click on "Tools" You will get a drop down menu, then click on "Internet Options" This will bring up an Internet Options window. In this window click on the tab at the top that reads "Connections" This is what the window should look like. Click on the "Add" button to create a new Dial Up Connection. Depending on the version of Windows you have you may be asked a few questions. You are connecting to a private network. The current phone number for this connection in Dos Palos is 435-1400. This is for Dos Palos only. If you are outside of the Dos Palos area you will have to find the number for that area. If it asks for a name of this connection enter DPIS. When you enter your user name make to include the dospalos.org on the end Example username@dospalos.org. Then enter your password, make sure you have all lower case letters and no spaces in both the user name and password. You do not need to enter a Domain name. this should be all you need to get going. You can always go to the Download area and get an automated program to enter all these settings for you.
